The Origins

Haru was born in Kuala Lumpur in 2014, founded on a simple but unwavering conviction that authentic Japanese cuisine, executed with real skill and genuine care, belongs here.

Over a decade on, we continue to serve fresh sushi, sashimi, donburi, and hot Japanese dishes from our home in Medan Damansara, focusing on premium ingredients, honest craftsmanship, and the kind of consistency that only time and dedication can build.

The Name "Haru"

In Japanese, Haru (春) means Spring, the season of first light, of quiet blossoming, of nature returning to its most honest form. It arrives gently, stays briefly, and leaves you wanting more.

We cook in the spirit of that word. Every dish is shaped by what is freshest, what is in season, and what the kitchen believes in that day. Not rigid. Not routine. Just an honest expression of craft, repeated with care.
